Hey Smack,
The past 2 days I had the chance to work on my friends 335 jet black. Basically the same car you did. I was amazed just how soft this clear coat was. Tell me I'm not crazy! Everyone said "omg super soft". I thought the Honda paints were soft until I worked on this baby. Is this some ridiculously soft paint or what?!? Good job by the way

Yes sir this paint is soft. You are not crazy. It takes a bit more time and dedication to perfect this soft black paint. And I have two of them to properly maintain.
Review: DP Prep Polish/Paint Coating
Review: BlackFire BlackICE... The wax you have been waiting for

Mike,
How does DP Paint Prep polish compare to SF4500? I am thinking about picking this up and using it as a final polish before applying a coating to save time.

Yeah !!! Tell me about it. I learned the term "Towel Marks" from doing a 994.

I would say they have the same level of correction ability while 4500 may give better gloss and depth. But with the DP prep polish you are effectively getting decent correction, nice gloss, all while finishing ready for the DP Paint coating.
You wll save a good deal of time by utilizing this prior to the DP coating.
