Just want to say thanks Mike for the outstanding coaching, you are the GOD OF DETAILING..
I came in there like I never touched anything, just because I wanted to soak up so much!
Great experience, amazing! The crew was outstanding and blessing! Felt good to work hard with everyone!
Mike I came home just waiting on my next car I can get down on! So today was my first day back, got a hold of a customer who wanted his 2008 Maserati detailed, swirls removed!
I was so stoked, because I was able to do what you taught me! Wish I knew how to post pics!
Once again! Thanks to you Mike and being in your class just turned my career around, and just shooting for the moon!

It was a pleasure having you in the Class Elisha and myself and everyone could tell you are passionate about cars and car detailing. You're a real go-getter and it was fun having you in the class.
Looking forward to hearing about more cool cars you work on and if you like, I can show you how to post pictures.

Learning how to work with pictures on a discussion forum isn't hard at all BUT you do have to invest some time reading, a lost art for most people now days, and thinking, another lost art.
My articles show in detail exactly what to do and include PICTURES showing what to do. You'll want to download Easy Thumbnails program which is a free picture resizer as you want to resize the HUGE pictures your camera takes to around 800 pixels wide.
This is 800 pixels wide. Notice how you don't have to horizontal scroll to see the entire picture. If you >right click< on the picture and then select [Properties] for the image you can see it's dimension and how I name all my picture files. This file name is,
May_2014_Detailing_Class_030.jpg
That means it's the 30th picture for this class I've processed out of all the pictures taken.
I use Easy Thumbnails everyday. Everyday. I've been using it for probably a decade now because it works so well and never distorts my pictures. My tutorial article shows you how to set it up.
If you get stuck, just give me a call. I know 10 minutes spent on the phone helping you to get this skill down will result in hundreds of cool pictures on our forum for others to see for a lifetime.
Here's my articles,
How to resize your photos before uploading to a photo gallery - Using Easy Thumbnails
How to upload a photo into your Autogeek Photo Gallery
How to insert an image from your photo gallery into your message
If you share a lot of pictures then you'll want to create dedicated albums for each project. I do this, I create a new album for every project.
How to create dedicated albums in your photo gallery...
Extra article for capturing defects when taking pictures
How-To capture swirls, scratches, etchings and other surface defects with your camera
Here's a fun article...
Photography 101 - The low down front grill shot
So if you really want to learn how to work with pictures on the forum you can do but you have to invest the time to educate yourself via my articles.
For what it's worth, when I first started posting to discussion forums over a decade ago I did not know how to work with pictures on forums and no one helped me, I figured all this stuff out on my own and then in an effort to help others wrote my how-to articles.
So you can do it!

Hi Mike,
Fist of all. I looked at the pics on last detailing session and the results speak for themselves, and of course, your shared knowledge is invaluable and appreciated.
Just to verify. On this class recently held this last weekend, is it the Detailing Class 101 same as Boot Camp? I am kind of confused...
Thanks!

Yes. What used to be Detailing 101 and 102 transitioned to Detailing Boot Camp Class.
We hold these classes three times a year. Currently it's a two day class, Saturday and Sunday.
Next class is the last weekend of September.

Hi Melito!
So happy to have you in the class and even more happy you were able to join the forum!
Remember, if you ever have any questions or just want to run something by me, either post it to the forum or shoot me an e-mail.
The class is never over. The classroom portion is over but through the forum the class goes on forever...
