I have never used the other BG products. I do typically only use Mobil and Chevron for gas and unfortunately always run high test.
I did have my oil forwarded on past C5 which only ran Mobil One Oil, it had only the slightest bit higher of a recording over Amsoil which everyone on the Corvette forum swore was the best. Based upon pricing and little difference, I stuck with M1 and never had oil checked again. I do also run a special synthetic delco filter versus the standard one.

Actually yes. I have heard that every gas station can have different additives put in the gas. And that if you go to a shell in Cali it will be different from the shell gas in Texas for example. There is a big conspiracy that the gas companies play all sorts of tricks to make your car get worse MPG than it really should be getting. What a great world we live in...

Do Tell More! Mobile 1 is the factory oil for the 05-06 GTO, but from what I can tell it runs a standard PF52 Delco filter...

Gas is all the same, but they each add their additives to the tanks before being transported......all I know is I go to Nexstore here and get better gas mileage then using Mobil, Chevron, Exxon and Marathon, any of those and I average 12-13 mpg, at Nexstore I get about 15 mpg with no difference in driving style and daily traffic to the office. Funny part is their the cheapest as well (but its a nice station with big food mart, like a mini Publix lol), filled up at 2.80 for regular while everyone else was like 3.10

Thanks for the info Scott. I told the BG guy next time he comes around, to bring me some to try. If you give it the approval, it must be good!

I don't like to use fuel additives much but when I do I use B12 by Chemtool(sp?) and I seafoam about every 30g's. I also don't like to run premium in a motor that’s not asking for it. That’s exactly how you get carbon build up on the valves and on top of the pistons. Premium fuels are a slow burning fuel and if your motor can't burn it off it stays inside building up. If you want a cheap way to clean out the combustion chamber just fill up and take the car WOT on a empty highway or back roads with no cops for just a couple of minutes.
