Toys for Tots Sports Car Cruise 11/3/07 (lots o'pics)

Hey everyone, today I went with a bunch of friends on the Toys for Tots sports car rally/cruise. There was a good turnout considering the weather looked like it might turn bad, but after all we only got rained on at the very end. Id say there were 60 cars total.

We started somewhere in Manhasset (sp?) Long Island, and ended in East Brunswick NJ at a restaurant for lunch, taking the scenic route. It was short but fun, and I got to see ALOT of really cool cars. Everyone donated $50+ worth of toys, and they collected a total of $4000 in toys and money. There were a few Marines at the final stop to collect the toys, very cool of them, but it started to rain so everyone hurried into the restaurant for some food and good times.

Unfortunately I had a few mishaps...

1. Tagged a curb with my right rear tire pulling out of the first parking lot.

2. Did a monster rolling burnout leaving the first area, which combined with my 1st screw up, made me lose all but about 10psi in my right rear tire. Took care of this at the first stop at the rest area.

3. Then proceeded to follow the black NSX who I thought was leading people, when really he was going home

4. I dont have easy pass, so I lagged behind alot at tolls, witch made it kind of suck until I could catch up to people, my right foot took care of that though

So here are some pictures, there are over 100 pics in my album, you can see them here

My car, friend's M3, friend's M5 at 7am getting ready to leave

First meeting spot and my terrible parking job

z06 and TT viper that was ungodly fast

NSX that led me astray!

Lots of hot porsches, GT2s, RUFs, etc..

Another Z06, love this car

Lots of M6s, M3s, etc.. now at the rest stop

My friend's wheel, damn BMWs and their break dust (DP gel to the rescue!)

Toys... the reason I felt OK about disregarding the speed limit all day

The TT Viper and the GT2 Porsche were simply jaw dropping cars. Turbo S2k that was there was fast too.

Had a very good time today, and figured out that to hang with some of these guys, my car will need mucho suspension work, wheels and tires, and definitely BRAKES!

I wonder if pyiu detailed that RUF. RUF's they are pretty rare.

The red vette is pretty good looking, the body kit looks as if it is based off an F50.

EDIT. On closer inspection that looks like a Rturbo!!! Probs like the step up from my dream car. I bet you that it was Phil that detailed it.
