Power vs. Consumption - Why bigger isn't always better.

It lists the orbit rate (no load) at 2900-8600 opm. I thought they listed the max as 9000 opm before, but I could be wrong. No big deal either way. They picture the new model with the updated venting. I expect it to be like the last version, but revised with proper cooling to the backing plate to prevent the melting problem it had. From what I read last time around, the Rupes fans said it didn't feel quite as powerful as the 15 mk2. The Flex fans said it blew the Rupes away. I'm guessing they're probably pretty similar performance wise.
The last couple sentences sound about right. lol I read one review on the old one that said it was as powerful if not more so than the 15 Mark II. Sounds like they updated the description. Last night it was still listed as over 9000. I'll have to check it out.

That's an apples to oranges comparison.

One is a gear driven 8mm throw while the other is free spinning 15mm throw.

I mean as a likeability from users. I knew there were direct vs free I just was curious if individuals would prefer one over the other.

Interested to see comparison vs 15mk2. I like erconimics of Rupes more and i do like the look of Rupes backing plates, XFE's bp doesnt seem to have as much cooling holes as Rupes.
