Virtual Car Show - South East Rods & Customs in Jupiter, Florida!

Virtual Car Show - South East Rods & Customs in Jupiter, Florida!

If you didn't have a chance to go to a car show over the 4th of July weekend, here's the next best thing... a virtual car show with the South East Rods & Customs in Jupiter, Florida. The first Saturday of each month the members of this club put their cars on display a the Abacoa Town Center just off the I-95 and Donald Ross Road (Exit 83).

The show is from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and limited to 1973 and older vehicles. Featuring restaurants, live entertainment, raffle prizes, and a parade at 8:15 PM. Click here for more information.

We recently introduced a brand new spray-on compound from Optimum Polymer Technologies and one of the members from the South East Rods & Customs car club let us use his truck to showcase the new Optimum Hyper Compound. Rick the owner of this truck wasn't at this Saturday's show but I talked to a lot of his buddies that were and told them I would post the pictures I took a long with the video we made using Rick's 1970 Chevy Truck.

I also let them know that there will be a detailing class here at our new Studio and Training Center on July 31st that the members of this club are all welcome to sign-up for and attend.

Here's the link to information about the class

Detailing 101 Class: Machine Polishing - Saturday July 31st

And here's the video with Rick's truck... not that Dampsanding is being shown as well as the new Hyper Compound and Hyper Polish, both spray on products.

David Ghodoussi, President and CEO for Optimum Polymer Technologies came to Autogeek to make a video for our "New Products Showcase" feature here at our Show Car Garage Studio.

Optimum Hyper Compound

Here's a thread with more pictures of Rick's truck here at Autogeek's Show Car Garage Studio...

Thousands of swirls give the paint a dull, hazy look...

After

And without further ado... here's some pictures from the car show...

Austin Healey 3000
I've had the good fortune to actually buff out 3 aluminum bodied, "Factory Prepared Race Cars" of this model that were and might still be owned by John Bolton in Oregon...

The two tone paint scheme worked well with this Dodge Charger...

All original 1929 Ford Model A
The gentleman that owns this also just built a 1932 Ford Highboy with a 502 Big Block Chevy engine, look for his 32 Highboy in a future Show Car Garage event.

BMW Replica of a series of BMW's painted like this and raced...

Porsche Carrera...

Corvette...

Firebird Converitble...

1957 Chevrolet Belair Convertible

A survivor, Ford Pinto Squire Stationwagon... very interesting and unique...

A very well restored and customized Pontiac Fiero...

A magazine quality 1954 Chevrolet Pick-up...

A survivor Chevrolet Stationwagon with the very rare optional Dual Dalmatian Guard Dogs...

Woof!

Young car enthusiasts enjoying the show with their pup...

Fifi loves the classics...

1940 Ford 2-Door Coupe in pristine condition...

1940 Ford 2-door sedan...

These are called Sergeant Stripe or Chevron tail lights...

I didn't get the year but I believe this was a 1939 or 1940 Ford Convertible, very, very original except for the 12-volt upgrade from the factory 6-volt system...

As far as I could tell this car was all original except for the modern alternator instead of a generator...

1955 Ford Thunderbird
You can quickly identify the 1955's from the 1956's and 1957's by the rear bumpers plus a host of other ways... (see below)

Note how the exhaust exits through the chrome bumperette...

Beautiful dashes...

1955 Chevrolet Belair Convertible
This was the only shot I took that was out of focus... sorry about that...

Big Block 427 Corvette Sting Ray Roadster...

What's a show without a red Corvette?

It started to rain before I could get a picture of this classic Pontiac Bonneville Convertible with a 428 Big Block...

I think the owner said this was a 1979 Chevrolet Malibu running a small block Chevy engine with enough horsepower to need some wheelie bars...

Very nice 440 Big Block Barracuda... note Harvey in the background...

Sweet Camaro SS

I took these next two photos as I was drying out...

Chrysler Imperial, about a 1964, 1965 era...

Exceptional and original Mustang for sale...

A Fox Body Mustang in pristine condtion...

Nice rides ...that Chevy C-10 paint is amazing!!

I been crazy about the 850csi Bimmer for years now! The paint is very Unique, not sure i would take that route to uniqueness but...it's a 850!

Nothing like a day of Street Rods,Collector Cars, & Muscle Cars. I see the wagon shows a lil Patina!!

Awesome pics Mike!!

I would guess finding a drivable Chevrolet Vega would be something to see.
