It's because the EPA is out of control. The story as to why M16 is no longer available can be found on MeguiarsOnline.com. I wrote it and what it explains is that the EPA mandated new stricter VOC laws and as such everyone in the car detailing world was supposed to reformulate their product to make them EPA compliant.
Meguiar's reformulated products according to two priorities,
1. The product could only be reformulated if the changes to the formula did not have a negative affect on the performance of the product.
2. The research and development costs required to reformulate the product were not cost prohibitive in relationship to the sales of the product.
M16 did not make the cut.
It's still for sale around the world but not in the EPA world of America.
One thing for sure, a simple can of wax is not the root cause of all the pollution in the world and this is especially true for other countries. America for the most part is a very environmentally responsible country and that's because historically the people of America at their roots are good people and this equate to being good stewards of their resources for the benefit of all others into future generations.
