I saw this post quickly before I left for work this morning . . . impatiently waited all day until I could read this through & soak in all the photo candy you have provided for us Lawrence.

I have been excited about this one since you mentioned it a few weeks ago & geeze was it worth the wait! No secret that I'm a VW fan & I do love the GTi Golfs, I miss my three door MK2 terribly. This one here looks like a good solid example.

Lawrence - the depth & reflection you have lovingly given this fine automobile is stupid gorgeous! Wow! What stunning workmanship mate. Seeing the attention to detail you put into your "details" makes me happy I became part of this forum! You my friend are at the the top of my "must read" list.

Even though the owner of this GTi knew what to expect having had the other GTi detailed by you, I bet his jaw hit the ground when he saw this!

Fantastic write up yet again Lawrence, really enjoyable. Beautiful work & thank you for your part in preserving a true classic!

Good looking GTI. Makes me miss my Montana Green 16v.

The ABF swap looks really clean. Just confused on what parts of the car have been in an accident... The core support has been painted color match to the car. They are normally a matte black.

Great work, as always. My list of things of things I want to do when I go to South Africa:
(1) Watch a Springboks game (rugby union)
(2) Go to Port St. Johns
(3) Eastern Cape
(4) watch Lawrence work his magic (wish I could ship my car)

Lawrence, oh Lawrence. Your work is so inspiring. I am so glad to have the luxury of being able to speak to you as often as we do via email. Sad we don't live in the same town. Like i have said before if you ever offer programs i am in my car driving to the cost before you can even push the publish button.

What a great turn around, love the after images of the two paint types, to the untrained eye (mine included at the moment) you wouldn't even know the difference.
