Hey everyone! Would just like to say that this is amazing forum. I did mobile detailing after high school for a little while and learned everything I know from this forum!
Well now I'm back at it again. Started off as a side job and now has totally blown up into almost full time job. I am really excited about it because there is NO ONE else in my town that does mobile detailing and the only places that do detailing period are the dealerships.
With that said I still have lots and lots to learn.
I current have a porter cable orbital polisher and CCS pads. Meguirs commercial line compound and polish with ultimate wax. And meguirs interior detail spray. Regular old shop vac for interior vacuuming.
Is there any suggestions you guys can make to be faster? And to deliver a better finished product?
My first problem is I was using WAY to much product at first. (Kept doing an X on the pad for every panel) I dropped that down to 'priming' the pad first with an X and then little dots afterwards.
I also should have done more research and gotten poorboys for working outside. Will be using when I need a refill.
This was one of my first clients thoughts?
