Beaten and Battered 2010 Nissan Altima Tons of pictures

So, I had a friend go on leave, and he left his car with me for the week. I worked on it through the weekend, putting in a few hours per day, and finished it up last night with a quick cleanup of the interior plastics, and front carpets.

Some of the products used were:
2 bucket Method with Grit Guards
    BlackFire Wet Diamond Shampoo
    Lake Country microfiber wash mitts
    Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner
    Speed Master Wheel brushes
Black Magic Ultimate Tire Shine Gel
    Nanoskin Handy Towel
    Nanoskin Glide as lube
    Nanoskin Microbuff Black pads
    Nanoskin Formula 67 polish
    Nanoskin Speed Cut compound
Lake Country Hydro-Tech 3" Cyan and Tangerine Pads
    Nanoskin Microfiber Towels
    Nanoskin Rain Prep
    Nanoskin Rain Glass Sealant
    Nanoskin Black Awesome
    Meguiars Carpet and Upholstery Brush
    Sonax Matte Dashboard Cleaner
    Stoners Invisible Glass
    DetailersPro Poli-Coat Sealant
AutoGeek Blue Wax Removal Microfiber Towels
    Porter Cable 7424XP w/ 5" LC BP
    Griots Garage 3"

His car wasn't terribly filthy, but the paint was in terrible shape with TONS of swirls, and it looked like he had been clearing snow off of it all winter with a garden rake(he claims that this was not the case, lol)

I was going to write a long, drawn out article on every step that I did, but I'll sum it up instead. I used the Nanoskin 5" Microbuff cutting pads and Speed Cut to pull out all of the deep scratches, and cutting pads with Formula 67 to do the rest of the car. I am not getting paid to do this, so 1 step gave me good enough results to not do a second stage polish.

    Here are the pictures.

    Before

After washing and some 50/50 shots

    And After

Here's My favorite part, there was a group of scratches on the hood. I was not able to completely fix them, the largest one went in to the primer, but I was able to improve them.

    Before

    After

This was a fun, and satisfying project, and I think my friend will be very happy when I pick him up from the airport tomorrow in it. Thank you for taking the time to look through this.

Thanks guys, I am not from this area, so scratches like it had are not something I'm used to, and will never get used to lol. I really wish I would have had a rotary doing this job, I think it would have been a good car to learn on, and definitely would have sped up the process.
