    Nice Surprise

I'm really starting to get rolling with the business and am a little surprised at the number of people coming to me for work and/or advice on their vehicles. (Thanks bootcamp!)

One guy I work with wanted me to take a look at his Jetta and see if I could help. It was a mess, being an "outside" car parked under a tree and fairly neglected. I decided to accept the challenge and got the car to my house. After washing it, I wasn't sure I could do anything. I was fully prepared to tell him he was looking at the beginning of clearcoat failure on the horizontal surfaces, as it looked like my Integra just before the clearcoat died. But I decided to press on and do some testing.

I was really surprised at the results. The first pass on the test area really made my day.

I hope these photos can do it justice.

The customer was amazed. He had never seen the car that shiny (he got it used). I was amazed, too.

images are quite small... it helps if you insert them as an image rather than "attach" them.

looks nice... what was your process/products/tools?

The feeling you get when you see how happy your customers are is almost more rewarding than the financial reward!

I would've guessed beginning stages of clear coat failure as well. Very nice save!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Here's a snapshot of the products I used. The hood took me about 6 hours, as it's only the third vehicle I've done with the Flex. The rest of the car took another 7 hours. I did the work over the course of a few days.

(Apparently I still don't have the skill to attach pictures properly. I'll get there!)
