    Toyota 4Runner Limited

In an attempt to bring some life back, this truck was left with me for an extended stay.

    209,000 miles
hasn't seen wax in at least 5 years

I was hoping to bring some life back, and give the owner some of the feeling he had when buying it new in 1996.

Upon delivery, I was told it had been cleaned out a bit. After opening the doors and collecting the papers, gloves, misc. and sticky change; I wanted to work to find a funky smell. I pulled the seats out and removed the carpet.
The metal pan below the carpet was vacuumed and washed with an enzyme cleaner as a bit of mold was present where the carpet had been saturated. After that dried, Optimum Power Clean at 3:1 was used to wash things again.

The carpet and pad glued to the back was pressure washed with only water at the start. I think a few gallons of coffee were removed. When the carpet began to rinse clean, OPC was used again for a few spot stains, scrubbed with a carpet brush by hand.

The seats were sprayed with 303, then Leatherique Rejuvinator oil was applied before wrapping each seat back and bottom with large garbage bags. The temperatures were low enough that I moved the seats inside. 48 hours later, the seats bags were removed and the seats were cleaned with Leatherique Pristine Clean.

    More photos!

I'm not sure if these are going to display in the same order I'm seeing them, but here is a quick description list.

    - motor after wash with OPC and 303
    - Rear quarter after polish and seal
    - another of the rear quarter
    - Passengers side front seat bottom after cleaning and Leatherique
    - Drivers bottom door jamb
    - carpet cleaned and installed *and vacuumed one more time*
    - carpet after seat removal. I think this was coffee.
    - motor before wash

I used quite a bit of clay on this truck. Had more tar than most others i've worked on.

The next post will include all the products used.

actually, most of what shows in the photo was wiped away with the CG wash and OPC

The 205 followed with PO85RD brought back the finish on the hatch to looking good! *another few photos attached

OPC 3:1 with lots of scrubbing with a few brushes and tooth brushes.
Followed with 303 on the plastics and Lexol on the rubber. I like the look of the Lexol on the rubber, as it gives the rubber a bit more sheen than the 303. Just personal preference, but I liked the look more under the hood.

    Re: Toyota 4Runner Limited

    Beautiful turn around.

I did a white 2000 4runner. HEAVY oxidized single stage.

    Was this SS paint?

The rubber molding around the back window has something that looks like weep holes at the bottom edge at the rubber. What showed in the photograph was a mix of dirt, scum and oil. After cleaning off the buildup, the M205 brought it back for the most part, but left a clouded look. The PO85RD brought the paint to the reflection I wanted.

Actually, the owner is picking it up tomorrow or Thursday. Might take some video of the customers first viewing.
