^While it may be "designed" that way, there was just a post on here not too long ago about someone who had used OC2.0 on a Lexus and had to replace it after only 1 year because it had begun to fail in certain areas. I have no personal experience with any other coating though.

^Sounds like a good point of view to me!

I've re-polished and recoated several cars this summer for that very reason. While the cars were still beading like day one, the swirls were too much for the owners to take.

On the plus side, some of the swirls would reside in the coating so I would be removing less clear that if the car had not been coated.

That is very true. I also had a vehicle that was keyed after having OG applied. It did not go into the clear coat much at all. It was a relatively easy fix.

Update - Approx. 3 months after application

    ^Still extremely glossy

    ^Maintaining my swirl free finish

^Beads water like crazy! I had to pull the car back outside for a minute because it basically dries off while I am driving!

Thanks Mark! I've still got a few plans for it in the future: it needs to be lowered some, and I'll probably get a 2nd set of wheels and turn the OEM ones into snow wheels.

I see in your avatar what appears to be a CX-7... we are looking to get one of those in the near future. I don't want to get this thread off topic, but if there is anything I should be aware of with those vehicles shoot me a PM! Thanks!

Re: This product is a game changer! - 22ple VX1 Pro Coating

The more I read about these coatings the more interested I'm in it. I'm itching to try one of these coatings out but too bad it's winter here...
I was wondering how much cars can you do with one bottle of this?
I'm planning to do a SUV and three mid size sedans in the spring. Just wondering how much product I would need so I can order accordingly.

    Great informative review. Thank you.

OptiCoat is a lifetime coating. If you are careful in your wash methods, you will not have any swirls.

OptiCoat is the best coating on the planet, bar none. If you want to repolish all the time, go for it, but it is not necessary.
OptiCoat is a great product. You should try it.
