Pics after the use of the new toys as promised!

Well, here are the pics as promised of some new stuff.

Tried out the water filter with my Karcher 1400PSI PW today and was very pleased. It was starting to rain after so I didn't even bother using the Guzzler, I have trust in the water filter.

Used DG 901 as my soap for the first time. I have over a gallon of this stuff and WOW! this stuff is soooooooo amazing. Combined this with my Shmitt and cleaned the car amazingly well. Much better than DP's 4:1, but then again, it was a good traditional washing. I also noticed that while cleaning the car, it also helped clean my shmitt. After washing, the shmitt wasn't even dirty!

Also tried DP's Wheel gel cleaner and the black shmitt worked amazingly as expected. Very glad I ordered the black shmitt. No big difference between Megs WB 4:1 (which I usually use) and DP wheel gel, both are great. I feel more comfortable with DP's though on delicate wheels.

Also used Optimum tire shine. Rather different than what I'm used to (used to gels and thicker liquids). However, this stuff went forever! Sprayed 2 little squirts on the tire and spread it with an applicator. I noticed right away that this stuff is GREAT at repelling water. Interested to see how long it will last.

Finally tried DP's Engine cleaner. Worked as expected... PERFECT. The engine was rather dirty so it worked pretty well. I sprayed rather generously and used approximated 3-4 oz's. I could tell right away it worked well and FAST. Much better (obviously) than the Black Magic's engine cleaner I used last year.
As a dressing I used something different. Zep's All Around, I made a thread about it before and I'll let you all know about the durability. I know it will last quite a long time.
Here is the thread on it: A different kind of detailing, a new product used!

No more talking, time for the pics:

My set up (not all of it, but most):

Wow looks great!!! I absolutely love the engine shots. Makes me want to get that DP cleaner. Although I still am a little afraid. What was your process on the engine? Spray with DP, agitate, rinse, dry, protect?

Engine was a little warm before cleaning, I wish it had been sitting, but that's ok.

I sprayed the engine first with my PW very lightly. Spray generously the engine cleaner. Let sit for about 5 min, did a test spot with my finger and the grime wiped away easily. I then proceeded to rinse the engine (yep, no scrubbing or agitating). I sprayed as little as I could to get all the cleaner gone. Turned the engine on for about 3 min, spray the dressing on, spread and wiped any excess, and then let the engine idle for about 3 more minutes.

I wouldn't of turned on the engine, but I was in a slight rush because of the rain.

Thanks for posting about your new toys. And how they worked.
What did the cartridge look like after your first use. Did it look new still or dirty

To achieve excellence, excellence cannot be rushed. Technique is just as important as the product used.
While my approach takes more time, the results are far superior.
