Mirror Detailing - Ford Focus - New lease on life...

Eventually I am going to run out of catchy titles lol... anyways....

Worked on this Focus today that was in pretty bad shape. Seems to stay outside a lot and is driven very often. Hood and front bumper was repainted at one time and lets just say...I have seen better work from Maaco. Customer again just wanted a wash, clay, 1-step and waxed to bring some condition back to the exterior.

    Process:

Wash - AG Foam Gun w/ CG WnG mixed with Meg's Hyper Wash
Wheels cleaned with misc brushes and CG Diablo Wheel Gel
Clayed - Meg's Red Clay w/ Heavy Foam Hyper Wash as lube

    1-Step - GG DA w/ LC White w/ M205 via KBM Method

    Sealed w/ Blackfire
    Tires - WG Black Diamond

    other misc stuff lol

    Before:

I spy some heavy fading and start to oxidation...

After washing and claying here's what most of the panels looked like...

Once I pulled the car into the garage here is what the hood looked like...

Now after 1-step half the hood... some 50/50's....

The side that was already done...

Now fast foward 2 1/2 hours later....

    For reference...

I'm impressed with how that came out with just a 1 step + 2 1/2 hours.

Nice. I have a question about the Blackfire if you dont mind. When I bought my bottle the guy who sold it to me told me I needed to let it sit for 6-8 hours. Is this true ? How do you use it and how have the results turned out? Thanks

I generally let it cure on the paint for 5-10 minutes then pull it off. I have never actually tested it on a long cure time as I would WGDGPS.

There's some nice flake in that paint...now that you can see it. Great job!
