New Shop is Getting Somewhere

Building is up and concrete is going in on Monday and Tuesday Im the MAN

Those are 12' doors, the one in the back right is for the wash bay and lift. There is also another 12' door in the back left. That area will be for the toys (dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, go carts and such. The one in the front will be the main drive in door, 4 bays on the right, 3 on the left for car storage (67' Camaro RS Coupe, 67 Camaro RS Convertible and a 72' Z28 that will be started on when the shop is done), office and bathroom.

Nice, would love to see some updated pics.

What are you planning on putting in there ie water filter, air tank, lights, a drain etc.
 
Wow! I dream of having a shop like that. What's the square footage of that beast? :dblthumb2:

Water tank is in the ground that collects rain water from the gutters of the of the building and will run through a filtration system.
Air tank will be coming out of the old shop
Not sure on lights yet but probably 6500k florescent
Drains are 3 trench in the shop and 1 regular round in the bathroom

Check with Rasky about the lights. I will try to find his thread but he installed some freaking awesome lights in his other shop! Looking good so far, congrats! :xyxthumbs:

If you look you will see I was a part of that thread from when I replaced the lights in my garage ;)
 
Finished up most of the framing today. Will be starting on the electrical tomorrow. Hoping to get the floor coated within the next couple weeks. We need a 24hr window with no rain before we can start to apply the coating. So far this year we have had a lot of rain and when its dry its just not in a window for us to get it done.
 
Ran 33 electrical outlets and wiring to them on Sunday and most of the insulation on the walls done today.

Looks like it is coming along nicely. I would love to have a nice big shop. Guess I can't complain. I do have a 2 car on and a 2 car off the house. My detached garage is my shop. I just wish it was bigger.
