New paint from body shop = time to break out the Flex and SIP

I had a new hood and front fascia put on my 05 Mustang. Of course the body shop returned the car looking like amateur hour.

Broke out the flex today with some SIP followed by Nano, on orange and white pads respectively.

I'll post the whole car once I'm finally done. Still a lot of work and even the afters aren't the final step, just showing some improvement. The body shop should be ashamed of themselves turning a car over to someone like this.

Nicely done!! I just got my Accord repainted too. I'm not exactly happy with the few dust nibs they left in it. I can't wait to get my New DA!

This is just another body shop horror story.

Maybe if you have a chance you can take a negative and turn it into a positive, print his thread out, (usually have to use Landscape option), and then share the print out and our forum with whoever it is you deal with and let them know their technician that does the buffing could pick up a few tips just by reading our forum.

It's a testimony to the power of discussion forums in that our members can do better work the the people that actually do this for a living.

I had my own run-in with a bodyshop "detailer" not too long ago. It's amazing that someone who considers themselves a professional can be so horrible at what they do.

Great turn around! My father and I may end up spraying my whole car soon. The paints in pretty good shape for the most part, but some one has sprayed bits and pieces of it and didn't take the time for the prep work.
