    Re: Wheel Wednesday!

This is more of a Wheel, Wheel Well, and Tyre Wednesday. I decided to remove all the mud from the wheel wells, wheels, tyres, and even the rear axle, so that when I do wash the whole thing I'm not spending most of my time underneath.

I was going to break out the pressure washer, but I decided to go with my IK, which had the last of my Carpro Lift left in it, it wasn't enough for a full wash, but it was sufficient for this, and it worked well. I also used my long reach right angle sprayer, which I completely forgot I had, it was hidden behind some stuff in the garage. It's great for inside the wheel wells and even inside the wheels, but you have to be careful bringing it back out, if it's pointing up you might get a faceful.

After I was done, all the loose mud was gone, but the tyres are very brown, absolutely no dressing or protection left.

    Re: Wheel Wednesday!

Noticed some built up brake dust on the front wheels of the Qashqai, so I gave them a clean. They're very easy to clean so I grabbed an old MF and some ONR, took barely 2 minutes per wheel. Then dressed the tyres with Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing, once again the passenger side needed more than the drivers side. You can see the rust marks left on the brake disc by the ONR, and that was in about a half hour.

Yeah, 303 Touchless Sealant, it makes for a very easy spray and wipe clean. I also could have done a spray and hose off clean, but I didn't want to hose near an otherwise clean car, and I still would have had to dry them after.

    Re: Wheel Wednesday!

I had my work cut out for me dealing with these drug-dealer spec 22-inch Range Rover wheels..................

The barrels on these wheels would never have been cleaned in the 130,000 km on the road. In this case, I decided on Sonax Xtreme teamed with an old wheel woolie, I've found those brushes to be more effective on neglected barrels. Even so, I needed repeated passes and even then, I could have gone further. Sometimes you have to know when to stop.

After they were "cleaned", I followed up with some Carpro Hydr02.
