Ford Edge Detail (ive been gone for a while)
Ive been off this forum for about 5 or 6 years but ive been following AG on facebook like a hawk! lol. Ive been detailing and correcting paint as much as i can along with my 2 other jobs too.
My most recent is a Ford Edge of some good friends of mine. I completely forgot to take some before pics but the after pics came out great!! I received a text from the owner a few hours later that said "Thank you for helping me to fall in love with my car again." The interior was a MESS. So much dog hair. She purchased the car used and obviously the dealership doesnt spend the time to make car look great, just good enough to sell. So she has never seen the car look this good in the years shes had it. The interior dash pic is my favorite b/c it looks brand new!
I still have a lot of DP products. Here is what i used...
DP Wash soap (2 bucket method of course)
Microfiber mitt
ARO for the wheels, wheel wells, engine bay, and rockers
DP Max Wax
Armor-All tire gel
Mothers Power Cone to buff the chrome caps on the rims. Worked perfectly!
DP interior cleaner and protectant for all interior plastic
Carpets were not stained, just needed swept. 2 hours worth of sweeping b/c of dog hair
Very light soap with water and wash cloth for leather cleaning
Armor-All leather protectant (i have used this stuff for years and actually like it but i am switching as my last bottle is almost gone, see note below)
- i just ordered Chemical Guys leather cleaner and protectant along with their horse hair brush
Customer only wanted an exterior wash and wax and a full interior clean. It severely needs a clay and paint correction.

Looks good fella....if you can, consider picking up one of the pet hair removal brushes. has been a wonderful brush to have on-hand the couple of times I have needed it.

The person who figures out how to efficiently extract dog hair from cheap automotive carpet is going to be filthy rich. Can't believe with all the advanced polishing and paint coating tech hitting the market, we still have to spend hours with a friggin' rubber brush to or abrasive stone to make a dent in the dog fur infestation.

It's funny I was looking at those when I placed a recent order with chemical guys. I guess I should've added that one to it. I will next time. Thx for the info! And the compliment.

The "coating" for pet hair has already been invented. The clear plastic adhesive floor mats that car lots put on after cleaning the carpet Leave that plastic on the carpet, just like the old lady who wraps her sofa in plastic or leaves the plastic on the 1960's lampshade.
If I had a dog, I would cover every carpet surface with Weathertechs. Or just get a truck and make Fido ride in the cargo area.

It gets under the Weathertechs, too.
Small price to pay for my dog. She's part of the family.

Nice thing about the nice weathertechs though is it minimizes where it gets under. Luckily this owner had the factory rubber mats so it kept it to minimum on the floor and the leather seats were a breeze with the hair but under the seats and the edges of the seats on the floor were horrible. lol. i would agree with some shrinkwrap or something on this floor in the back under the floormats. lol
I do agree about dogs being part of the family. Our 3 dogs are our kids. We cant have kids.

My dog rides daily, I have Weathertech's also, they help. Last week I did a dog hair extraction, the Rubber Pet Brush works well. Took a bit, worked the brush, and finished with a lint roller. Looks great!
