2015 Corvette ZO6
2015 Corvette ZO6, Redline Performance Stage III, Black.
2015 Chevy Corvette ZO6, 3LZ. Black. A client of mine just picked this beast up! It just had a ‘few’ performance upgrades done. Headers, catless X-pipe, new camshaft, lifters, roller rocker upgrade, ARP head studs, smaller blower pulley, meth injection, flex fuel/E85 compatible, bigger injections, new intake, upgraded heat exchanger and larger tank. It sounds wicked! Puts down 750/710 to the wheels. It’s bad!!!
Now onto the reason it came in to see the doc at Autodermatology. The paint was horrible!!! It was full of swirls, scratches, holograms, cannon fungus, haziness, etc. The interior was as dry as the Sahara!
He decided for a full on correction and wheels off plus interior package along with a ceramic coating. This thing is going to look the part of how it sounds!!
Process:
2BW with Wolgang Autobathe as wash.
Clayed via Griots fast surface prep mitt.
Decon via Sonax Fallout cleaner.
Dodo born slippery as clay lube.
Griots BOSS fast correcting crème.
Griots BOSS correcting crème.
Adams finishing polish.
Carpro Eraser.
BEEDS prime.
BEEDS ceramic coating as LSP.
Carpro Dlux on brake calipers.
Kenotek leather and vinyl conditioner was used as the tire dressing.
Wolfgang Fuzion spray wax was used as the LSP on the painted seatback. (and is awesome)
SCG Pro glass cleaner on glass.
Pinnacle leather conditioner on the leather interior.
Vacuumed via Metro.
Dried via Metro Master Blaster.
Exhaust was polished and coated via Pinnacle exhaust cleaner and brightener.
Tools/Equipment:
DeFelsko PTG
Flex 3401.
Rupes MkII 21.
Rupes 3”
Rupes iBrid nano
Griots MF pads, Griots correcting pads, Megs correcting/polishing discs, misc finishing discs.
Misc microfiber towels. A ton of the MIRICLE towel…this is quickly becoming my favorite towel! Damn, I love them!!!
As stated earlier, the finish was in pretty poor condition. It took 2 steps to correct, then, I was left with some light marring and hazing. It took a bit to figure out what combo would work. It didn’t like Griots perfecting crème, HD polish, Menz P085rd either. I tried the Adam’s finishing polish and that was what it liked!!
Vehicle had relatively ‘thin’ paint in areas with evidence of some previous ‘detail’ work aka: buffer trails/holograms and just poor workmanship. I achieved approximately 80-85% correction working with what was given to me. It looks tremendous! My client was thrilled and can’t wait to drive it/show it now that it’s looking/sounding/running the way it should!!
Thanks for reading and looking at my many, many pictures!

Re: 2015 Corvette ZO6
Looks impressive, the car and the work done. I was waiting to see your review. Did you get to drive it?
Was at a local car show this last weekend and was offered to drive a 2016 Z06. Owner told me to stop by his house and go for a ride. I told him, I would prefer the passenger seat. Last corvette I drove was a 2006, with an LS2. I thought 400 hp was a lot. I told my wife about the offer and the 200mph, 650 hp. She said "no you're not". I think I will
