    UWW as clay lubricant

I see where it says that Ultima Waterless Wash can also be used as a clay lubricant. Does it matter what brand of clay you use if using UWW as the lubricant? When reading elsewhere I see that it's recommended to use the lubricant for the brand of clay you buy but is that really necessary? As much as I love my Wolfgang products, I'd love to be able to multi-task UWW and save a few bucks.

Any clay with any lube. Manufacturers are obviously going to state the opposite so to sell more of their branded products!

Right, just make sure the clay doesn't see the bottle of lube you are using, all heck could break loose.

Works both ways: The Mothers Showtime I was using with Meguirs clay finally figured out the clay it was lubing and refused to spray any longer. After a bit of 'persuasive surgery' the Mothers Showtime is more cooperative, though it remains difficult. I will be 'retiring' this bottle and getting a more agnostic lube like UWW+ soon.
