Mothers Waterless Wash & Wax - Review

Today I received a package of the new Mothers Waterless Wash & Wax..

    Here is the candidate.

You can see the dried dirt and solution from cleaning the vinyl top previously.

After going over the directions on the rear of the bottle; I will be honest. I was more than skeptical that this was actually going to work. There are 3 major rules in using this product.

    1. Make sure you have the vehicle in a shaded area and the paint is cool.

    2. Be very liberal with the solution.

    3. Have at least 3 microfiber towels on hand.

I remember reading somewhere someone saying in 5 minutes you will have a clean car... I wouldn't say that is 100% accurate. I took my time making sure to apply plenty of product and going over each panel several times to make sure there was no residue. Total time was 25-30 mins and I did not clean the vinyl top due to it already being cleaned.

    Finished results

You can see here the amount of dirt it removed from the paint.

    Pros:
    1. Ease of use

    2. Very little cleanup afterward

    3. On classic cars the reduction of water use with decrease the potential for rust

    4. The person that has water restrictions or constraints this is a great product but for the classic car guy may opt for a quick detailer vs this product although I feel it is a good idea to have it handy just in case of being caught out in the rain.

    Cons:
    1. It requires a lot of product to get car completely clean - 1/3rd of the bottle was used and again roof was not cleaned

    2. The average person that does not have water restrictions could see this as being over priced due to the amount of washes each bottle will product vs the traditional bottle of car wash.

    Conclusion:

This is a great product and the ease of use along with going after that portion of the market that has water restrictions or constraints this is a win win for both sides..

As for a grade scale I would give it an A- simply that not everyone will benefit from it but I also realize that was not its intent.

    That is all.

Re: Mothers Waterless Wash & Wax - Review

Once the fiance's Altima got dirty after I had polished it from a few weeks ago; I wanted to give the Mothers Waterless a go on this car..

As you can see this car was dirty.. I was worried it would scratch the car with just using the spray and a mf towel.

    Before:

To my surprise it did not produce the first scratch and the car looks great!!

I can honestly say that I am very happy with this product.

    Thanks for the review!

How would you say it compares to other WW's you've used?
