Any one using 3" pad on 6" Griots DA
Trying to decide if I need to buy the 3" as well or go with the Porter Cable. I want the more powerful Griots but I am trying to squeeze everything I need into a budget and would be great if I can get away w/just the 6" for right now. Looks like the guard on the Griots might be too big for a 3...? Any input?

all the time. Do it. Focus on the task at hand and be careful when using it in tight spots.

Yes it works well. The machine is a bit "tippy" with it, but it's not really an issue. Get a LC 2 & 7/8" BP and low-profile Hydrotech 3" pads.

The GG6 is not that much more expensive. It's a good chance that you will end up buying the GG6 later on for the power. Catch AGO on their 15% off sale and BOOM, you got your GG6 for PC price. I just got my GG6 and in all fairness I never used the PC but i've done enough research to pick that GG6. It's a nice machine. Honestly very shaky in the hands but not bad.

I used the 3" w/ tangerine hydro tech on my NightTrain a couple weeks ago and it works great. The PC w/ 3" is ok, but for a few bucks more, the GG DA is a lot nicer. Plus you get lifetime guaranty w/ GG .

He is right about shaky in the hands, my hands itch so bad sometimes when I get done using my GG6, I also went ahead and bought a GG3 and don't regret any minute at it, I do have a weird moment here and there with my machine when I feel like it may not be spinning like I feel it should at it's rated specs? But that may be from operator error, im learning everyday from my GG and like everyone else has said great machine, I also think you might as well go with the 15% off sale and get it for a great price, patience is key!
Edit- Sorry did not read that last post! Congratulations though on the purchase, I know you will be happy with it!

Really? I find it to be really smooth.
Deebo, I used mine when it was 35 out (Chicago) to polish my windows. Yes the neighbors walking the dog probably thought I was insane polishing car windows in the driveway in near-freezing temps but whatever!
