I used a Dewalt rotary buffer before and really liked the side arm handle. I wanted to know if there something I can buy to use, don't really like the bridge type handle bar.

Talk to some of the people here. A lot of people don't use their PC handles. I don't use a handle on my GG DA either. One of them might trade you for something or give it to ya if you pay the shipping.
I would think so. I'm pretty sure that the GG DA is just a rebranded PC, but I could be wrong. Ask Mike
Just to back up what Dwayne posted, the Griot's Garage is not a re-branded Porter Cable.

Most people after trying the DA polisher without the handle will pitch the handle and never look back.
With the Porter Cable units the plastic housing over the head will vibrate and slide off if you're using it without the handle. The design is such that the handle holds the plastic housing onto the head of the unit, remove the handle and the housing will come off.
One way to fix this is for the Porter Cable models is with some duct tape the other way is to simply bold the plastic on with two Hex Head Bolts and a couple flat washers.
With the Griot's Garage and Meguiar's DA Polishers, you can remove the Bail Handle if you like and the plastic housing over the head will stay in place as there are tabs built into the inside of the plastic housing that prevents the plastic housing from sliding off.
