has anyone tried the flex xc3401vrg yet.

With the exception of zoranc, has anyone tried it yet.I just got mine after hearing a bunch of great things about it versus the pc and udm.It has a longer throw then the other 2 and a much more powerfull motor and is a forced rotational da.I will let you know how i like it on sunday.

No more supercharger,i now have twin turbo,s.

Well just finished up the g and was gonna take before and after pic,s but the battery,s died. The flex is one powerfull da as i could not bog it down one bit and i used speed 5 with menzerna products. You dont have to go nearly as slow as with a pc and it really heats up the paint quickly.......i guess that is because of the forced rotation.I did the trunk first with ip and only one pass for each section, then pulled out into the sun and......wow!I couldnt believe it got as much correction as it did(only a very few swirls were still there,so i did one more pass with 106ff and pulled it out again and all gone.Did the rest of the car the same way and topped it off with fmj then natty,s blue.....awesome is all ill say.
Now for the operation,it does vibrate as all da,s do but not as bad as the pc and a friends udm does.......it just vibrates differently. It has a 8mm stroke, orbital rate of 3200-9600,forced rotational speed of 160-480 rpm,s and one powerfull motor. Now the forced rotational speed cannot be switched like the makita,it is on all the time.I quess that is why the paint heats up so quickly and it made quick work of the job compared to the pc.The only thing i dont like is the backing plate cannot be changed for a flexible plate but flex is working on that i was told.the unit is $269.99 and i got mine from,
powerhouse distributing,602-715-5999 and these guys were great to deal with as i got my unit in 5 days.I know its expensive but it just blows away a pc for performance and it was very easy to break down the polish as compared to the pc.
Hope this helps and i found out all about the machine on the other site,no more pc for me!

I think I'll just keep my PC and Makita considering you can get them both for about the same price.

Not knocking the tool, I'm sure its great. I just don't see a place in my arsenal for it at that price.
