That's terrible, Monica. As someone who had had to refinish a basement twice because of flooding and sewage backup, I feel for you. Yes, the joys of home ownership.

our main sewer line leading out of the
house broke Thursday night.

It currently dumps into our finished basement.

Fingers crossed gang this gets fixed this week
and I can move back into my house.

I hate when crappy things happen!

Where I live the homeowner is responsible for everything from the street to the house. And if you are tying onto a new service, about $2500 to tie into the sewer.
