My Trip to Formula Drift in Miami (Pic Heavy)

Hey guys. So I got to go to my first ever drift event. I've always thought it looked really cool but never had the chance to go see it. This was Formula Drift in Miami aka "The Big Boys". We're talking Vaughn Gittin Jr., Chris Forsberg, Justin Pawlak, Tyler Mcquarrie, and many more very talented drivers. The event was really cool, crazy, loud, and exciting. I've never seen anything like it. These guys are drifting around corners at very high speeds and the cars are extremely loud. All these cars are putting down around 1,000HP and are crazy fast. So here are some pictures of the actual professional drift cars and several cars from a car show they were holding there at the same time. Enjoy!

My first time to Homestead-Miami Speedway

Vaughn Gittin Jr. won the event

    A little Nascar action!

Warm Ups - they were doing figure 8's making them look easy

    Some Action

Drift Cars with very powerful engines

The baddest rotary engine I've ever seen - RX-8

Let's See Some Swirl Action - Looks good right?

    Not so much

    Can you spot the mistake?

Ok, now on to the show cars
Lets start off with a beast Toyota Supra

Some Muscle with twin turbos - it's beautiful

Air Force Mustang - Definitely different

Hope you guys enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for looking!

Yeah that was a really cool Mustang. There's not a whole lot of room left over in that engine bay

Thanks for sharing! Looks like a fun day at the track. I gotta ask though, who in the world would de-badge a McLaren!?! Of all things to do... I understand de-badging the rear if it gets cluttered with a bunch of numbers and letters, but the front badge.... Unless my eye is mistaken and that isn't a McLaren.

    Yeah personally I wouldn't de-badge a McLaren MP4-12C either
