Guess it just depend on who u talk to. I had my initial application yellow. It didn't have any top coating. I called the company and they said all epoxy will yellow and there was nothing they would do. I guess it all depends how much sunlight it's getting.

Re: garage epoxy floors
I did an epoxy floor 10 years ago and it peeled up in hte first year where the tires sit. At the time they just said to wash the floor with TSP prior to application. You need to acid etch or use a diamond grinder (even better) to get down to the porous part of the cement. In my research, Polyaspartic coatings are far superior to epoxy. That's what I'm going with in a few weeks. I will do a write up when it's done. The poly is 4X's stronger than epoxy and does not yellow from the UV and you can drive on it after 24 hours. I am very, very excited to get mine done!!

Re: garage epoxy floors
For a ton of info on floor coatings by various vendors , try taking a look at The Garage Journal website. Tons of reviews and comments. Some vendors will sometimes chime in and offer special deals. Its a great site for anything garage related.

Jason, my garage is 500 sq ft. I got 2 quotes, one for $2700. and the other for $1500 cash. Both come with a lifetime guarantee. The cash guy's been in business for over 10 years and the other guy is new.

Hey Richy,
We have about the same size area.... Does the cash guy do work across the river?
I am (and have been) deciding what to do with my current floor... The main pause is that I plan on getting a lift and I imagine installation/usage of the lift may damage the coating...
Thanks!
