Is this orange backing plate on your Flex the replacement plate or did it come with it? How does the velcro on it hold pads compared to the LC velcro? The reason I ask is because the velcro on my original Flex backing plate wouldn't hold onto the pads very well and the pads would actually get off centered or fly completely off of the machine very easily. That is why I grafted the velcro from an LC backing plate onto it which did fix the problem. The original backing plate won't last forever though.
My good towels are on the second shelf. The wife gave me the OK to get some bins for them. The yellow towels are the Costco ones lol. Behind my Griot's stuff is the SSII and Fuzion mini. That's an old CD rack where my pads are drying.

I have the same three but my Makita is probably 20+ years older, still works great.
