what floor jack and jack stands is everyone using? any minimum requirement for either? please share..

Craftaman 3ton steel jack, andchraftsman jack standsthat came with it like 10 yrs ago. Also Harbor freight 3ton stands

I have a Harbor Freight Pittsburgh 3-ton Low Profile jack. Jack stands are Craftsman but I've been looking for new ones to use at pinch welds.

I was always scared of floor jacks so when I moved into my house I installed a Bend Pak 2 post lift which I find myself using very infrequently.

$100 Costco floor jack and I left my really nice stands at the old house, not sure if I will ask my son for their return, probably just replace them

I bought one of the 3 ton Alum. jax from H.F.
I have two sets of stands- one larger set I got from sears and cant remember where I got the smaller set.
But both sets I stitched on a 1/8th " piece of plate so they slide on the floor smooth, its a smart little mod.
I will try to post pix tomorrow but I am sure they will show up sideways
