Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

The garden I have been tending for over 17 years is bursting with the arrival of spring.

One of my favorite corners, especially so because it's off limits from the two adolescent golden retrievers...............

The Clivia's are in bud and starting to open up now. I have several advanced clumps of these dotted around the front garden.

These Cotyledon have been an accidental success. This large display grew from a tiny cutting and are looking so good with their flower spikes rising proudly into the air.

Close by, an odd pairing it would seem, but this Thryptomene is in full flower and looking great.

Spending the majority of the year as a little green blob, Helleborus always prove their worth when in flower.

We drove out to see what progress had been made on the new house

They finished the concrete work by pouring the patio, front walk, and garage floor

We are waiting on an update for the framing schedule

Little blue car patiently waiting on her new home

Another round of Spirograph mowing yesterday.

Also got a new phone for the first time in nearly 6 years on Friday. Boy they’re a little quicker when you make a 6 generation leap…

I have Friday - Monday reserved for my personal clients. None booked this weekend.

The gf is being forced out of her job trimming cannabis flower on Oct 1st.

So today she decided to take a PTO day and we went up to Frankenmuth for some chicken "dinner" at Bronners.

If you're ever in the area, give it a try. It is always excellent!

After that we went on a riverboat ride, which was a lot of fun.

Now I have a bunch of bug guts to remove off the front end and windshield....

I've been a few riverboat dinner cruises up here on LI.

    SO cool.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

Fitted a new LED lightbar to the FJ. Looked at a few different brands, Stedi, Lightforce, and some cheapies on eBay. Decided to go with Narva, the latest reflector technology won me over, light is focused more straight ahead, rather than up or down. They were reduced from $399.99 down to $279.99, and I also had a $25 store credit.

Installation was fun, I bought the extra clamps because I thought the brackets that came with it wouldn't work with my bull bar, but it was the clamps that wouldn't fit, the brackets worked, but the bolts that came with it are over 2 inches long, and have to be tightened from inside the bull bar, and I don't have a long 13mm socket to do up the nylock nuts that came with it, and a spanner won't fit inside the bull bar, not even my shorties, which I dropped inside the bull bar. Luckily I found some shorter stainless steel bolts in my collection, and they're security bolts as well, needing a special bit to undo them. All's well that ends well.

Took my daughter out for youth waterfowl day here in NH. She got busy with the 12 gauge. Proud dad.

First pic is lo-beam, second is hi-beam, third is with the light bar, which obviously needs some more time spent adjusting the aim, and maybe a longer straighter road. Headlight bulbs are nothing fancy, Narva long life H4, 55/65 Watt.
