I don't believe it. I don't think a "race war" is brewing, but when the gubment freebee checks stop a flowin' - you will see a war between the "haves" & "have nots".

I think except for a very small population of wackos, the race war has came and went. Of course when the cops are white and the crooks are not, some peeps will play it up as a "race issue" - instead of the cops just going after crooks.

As an aside, I love the police. They are great. All you have to do is treat them respectfully and they will treat you the same.

Pretty much how you would just treat ANYONE. There are very few bad cops out there - most of them are fair and just want to get home safe.

Of course if I go down to NE Philly on K & A and get caught with a pocket full of dime bags and proceed to run from the cops and they tackle me - is that being respectful ???

Yeah, criminals have rights - but when you jerk around a cop - don't be surprised if you get a beat down.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I am one who has no problem with criminals who broke the law, ran from police, when caught by police fight with police, and have illegal stuff with them end up hurt/dead. If you didn't do anything wrong you don't run. You don't fight. You may not be 100% forthcoming, I won't tell a cop oh yes I know i was going 95 in a 45, but I am respectful, and stop when they catch up.

I think we are getting sidetracked here. This thread was meant to honor those public service members who were lost to senseless violence.

If members want to debate good/bad in ANY walk of life or occupation, then this would never end.

Keep it real, guys. And take a moment to think before you post.

I think the other forum is the more appropriate place for these kind of threads.

    Thank you for that.
Those guys went after the shooter without regard for who was being shot at. They were protecting the very people that were protesting against them.

    Re: Support the Blue

I have taken care of many a LEO who were injured, some gravely, doing their job. For the police haters, I simply say this: The next time you have a problem, you feel threatened or someone stole something from you take care of it yourself. Sure there will always be some bad apples, there are in any progression, but LEO are a different breed. Many that I've talked to feel their profession is more than a job, its a calling. For that, I applaud them. I couldn't do it.
