    Optimum Microfiber pads

    Optimum 5.25" Microfiber Polishing Pad

Optimum Microfiber Pads have arrived! These deep pile microfiber pads are reliable and produce stunning results. The pads are manufactured to be used with both DA polishers and rotary buffers. Field-tests with the rotary buffer have produced amazing results with fast & easy polishing applications. The new and advanced laminating system insures the pads will not separate or blow apart. The deep pile microfiber pads are thick and designed for long lasting durability. The low profile, reticulated, open cell foam structure reduces heat and gives the user a comfortable and pleasurable polishing experience. Machine washable and manufactured in the USA! Cutting pad version coming soon.

They are available in 3.25", 5.25", and 6.25". Has anybody used these yet? Any idea as to when Autogeek will be carrying these? Been having enough issues with the Meguiar's microfiber pads falling apart to make me want to try these.

What buffer and speed are you using the Meguiars ones on? This plays a huge part in how long they last. I've had nothing but success with the Meguiars system although I'm sure the Optimum ones won't disappoint!

I wouldn't recommend using them over speed 4.5. The pads heat up very quickly on higher speeds which causes them to fall apart. I've done quite a few cars with my Meguiar's pads and the pads still look brand new.

Also make sure you're only using the Meguiar's backplate.

    Re: Optimum Microfiber pads

We'll have the cutting pads and backing plates in around the first week of November. We'll be debuting them at SEMA...along with something else that didn't get leaked!
