Re: Mothers Official SEMA 2016 New Product Release Thread
The metric one isn't a bad idea. One night, back in the 80s, I spent equal time drinking and trying to develop a metric calendar:
100 seconds in a minute
10 minutes in an hour
10 hours in a day
10 days in a week
10 weeks in a month
10 months in a year
Eventually i gave up and went back to my rum and cokes. My head hurt the next day and I blamed it on thinking so hard about the metric system.
Wasn't one of my better periods, the 80s.

Appreciate the reply, Bob. I already have this version.
RV is a great product, and I was hoping to see a concentrated or the option of getting it by the gallon. Not to sound like a hippie, but I feel a little guilty for throwing a way a whole bunch of empty bottles. Feels like a waste, ya know?

Yes they already have YouTube videos up on theclay. Looks good, I'm sure I'll try it out, looks more like a nanoskin type product the way they rinse and place it on a MF to dry

Just watched the Speed Clay 2.0 videos. Can't wait to try it in the Spring!

The Nanoskin pad makes decontamination too easy. The Mothers clay would be ok if you don't own a polisher.

Whatever they release will be good products. The autobahn picture is the exit near the Delft area of the Neatherlands so probably just a light speed or speed use.

I agree, the Nanoskin is fantastic on my DA, but I like the tactile feedback of clay in my hand. The Nano sponges are a bit small to work with, and I haven't test driven the Nanoskin mitt yet. (Just recently got it.)
I am definitely intrigued by the Speed Clay 2.0 and can easily see adding it to my arsenal.

The biggest problem with your logic here is you're trying to tie two different systems (day and year) together metrically that don't work in a base ten system (metrics - or aka our counting system). You would need two systems (probably 'day' and 'year') each with a base unit (again probably 'day' and 'year').
You would have a traditional 'Day'. Then you would have Decidays (over twice as long as an hour, but equivalent in concept); Centidays (a new concept - about 15 minutes long); Millidays (equivalent to 86 seconds - or a long minute) and then take Millidays down to tenths and hundredths when necessary.
A very doable system and better than what we have now.
The year system... eh. You could do it. But so much is embedded with moon phases and sun pattern that it might not be as practical. I'm thinking I might not be able to see the inner beauty of this without some rum and coke.
