    Might work but not an approach I would use.


    If I want to remove any previously applied waxes or sealants I would simply machine polish or machine compound the paint.

    The abrasives in the polish and/or compound would not only obliterate any previously applied wax or sealant it would at the same time remove any paint defects and restore a like new finish ready for sealing.
