    Using rinseless and waterless washes together.

    I like the idea of saving time and effort in washing my cars but am hesitant to abandon the two bucket and go strictly waterless or rinseless due to seeming to be easier to induce scratches. Just curious if any of you guys have tried using rinseless washes (like ONR) and spray on types together. Seems to me that this would add more lubricity to the surface that would help in preventing scratches. Thanks for any feedback.

    I have not abandoned the 2BW, but when I do a rinseless, I will soak the panel first with waterless. I let it dwell, then wash with rinseless.

    Many here will presoak panel with the same rinsless soap that is in the bucket, I use Megs D114 at 1oz to 2 gallons in bucket and a pre soak solution at 1/64 or higher.

    •I use Meguiar's D114—at the below listed
    dilution ratios—"together", as it were.

    -@the recommended WW dilution ratio = 1:128;
    and,
    -@the recommended RW dilution ratio = 1:256.

    I have a spray bottle (1.5L Kwazar) that contains Meg's D114 at a 1:128 ratio that I use to spray my car. Once it is soaked, then I use my rinseless wash. Alternately, I've sprayed my car with UWW+ or BFWW and then done the rinseless wash. I have a general impression that this helps lubricate the surface. Over the past few years of using rinseless washes in the winter, this seems to help when I haven't been able to pressure wash the grime and salt off the car.

    It's always best practice to pre soak the panels with a waterless concentration before hitting it with rinseless concentration.

    If you cannot prerinse the panels with water then soaking the panels with the rinse the solution is good, some of used a one or 5 gallon bug sprayer and use that to rinse off the panels with the rinseless solution. This has worked for me

    I usually pre treat before doing a rinse less. It helps lift some of the dirt/grime before the next step.

    Guess that bottle of ORW isn't going to last as long as I thought it would. Will try the spraying of the panels next wash. Thanks.

    Re: Using rinseless and waterless washes together.

    OP are you asking about whether to pre soak or about mixing products? My usually wash is a 2B rinseless and I always pre soak with whatever soap I'm washing the car with.

    I picked up a gallon of D114 and haven't tried it yet. I think I may try it as a pre soak and then wash with UWW+.
