I like my auto version of the bissell. Sometimes it can take a while but it does work. I'm always surprised by how much dirt it pulls out of the carpets.

Let us know how you like it. For some reason I cannot use just the heater button without turning the unit on to where it sucks from the attachment. When I first got it, I was able to turn on the heater and heat up the water before turning the entire unit on. Now the light for the heater only comes on when I turn the power on for the whole unit.

Yes! This is the version I have. Same as other mention above. Do the actual cleaning solution in a spray bottle and use a scrub brush to agitate (I use CG Fabric Clean). Then use just hot tap water in the solution tank and rinse/extract. You end up making a lot of trips back and forth to the faucet, but for the price, and me being a hobbyist for now, this works great. I extracted my tan 10 year old carpet/mats in a 2003 Accord...never anything other than vacuuming. 4 gallons of muddy water with about an inch of sludge in the bottom of the bucket (I dumped all the rinse water into a 5 gallon bucket just so I could see what I pulled out). Carpets and mats looked almost brand new when I was done.

I have the same unit and use the same process. I've gotten out plenty of stubborn stains with it. $100 couldn't go wrong.

    Re: Bissell

I love my little green. If your pattern is messed up it might be the line pump. Mine started going and the spray pattern was terrible. I put a new pump in and it works great for what it is. Love it for cars.
