I tape areas where I need to get up real close to an edge or trim. Especially when using M105 as its such a bear to clean up if it comes in contact with plastic.

Re: Why do some people mask off before detailing and some do not?
Exactly. Like the saying goes, " an ounce of prevention". Dried polish and wax in seams and edges detracts from the appearance of a finished detail, defeating the purpose of all the work you put into washing, polishing, and finishing. Depending on the product being used, trim can also be affected in a negative way.

Thats the answer ^
I hardly ever use tape either. Clear bras and rubber trim are the only thing I tape

My best line was that I'm good with my hands

I just wanna know what this is suppose to mean on his website
Chuck Mason Wet Look Detailing is an ECHO FRIENDLY WATERLESS company.
Echo friendly.... really????
ech·o/ˈekō/
Noun:A sound or series of sounds caused by the reflection of sound waves from a surface back to the listener: "the walls threw back echoes".
He should learn how to spell.... that looks really bad on a website for customers. It is not like a forum where it is ok to spell bad and have bad grammer

Wow!
That's a ridiculous mistake to make. The only way that's excusable would be if English was his second language. Even then, if your English is so bad that you would write echo instead of eco, surely you'd have a friend check it.
A bit like the they're/ their/ there debacle...... Not hard to know the difference....
Gee I could rant about grammar all day!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so please excuse any grammatical errors

Uh, it's grammar by the way. There were quite a few mistakes in spelling on his website. Maybe he makes enough money to just not care.......Beverly Hills address, high end clientele with high end cars, not too shabby.

^^ I feel the same as RTexasF. I will start knocking the guy when I have several clients whose cars are collectively worth in the millions lol. Until then, he is doing something right... regardless if he made simple grammatical errors on his website.
Why was the Energizer Bunny arrested?... He was charged with battery.
