Plan A or B?
Hey guys and gals,
I plan to detail my mother's Pathfinder this weekend.
The current plan is to:
Wash
Clay
Compund Hood and Problem Areas
Sonax Nano Paint Cleaner
Megs #26 Liquid
I have all of the above items.
Or should I:
Wash
Clay
Compound Hood and Problem Areas
Duragloss #105
My current thoughts is the Duragloss would cut down a little bit of time, but not much. And with nothing on top of the #105, which combo do you think would last longer?
Or should I just work with what I have?
I also have an oddball question, but when you fold your microfibers, how do you know which sides you have and haven't used?

Option two will give you much longer protection. And I just try to remember what side ive used in my head... doesn't always work though.

I was thinking it would provide longer protection, and this is a truck that never gets washed.
Plus it would give me a reason to buy some 105

Re: Plan A or B?
what are you using to compound?
if it finishes up nicely then you can go to the DG105 after wipedown
Not sure how much cut the nano cleaner has but I've read on soft paint it works really nice. It will also prep the surface perfectly for whatever sealant you choose
I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

I am planning on using Ultimate Compound at the moment. Only the hood and a few other spots are getting that treatment. Being white, I am sure the UC will not need to be followed up. I purchasded the Sonax for my wife's vehicle with soft black paint (still haven't used it).

agreed
if you're going with DG105, make sure to pick up some 601 too

Why not use DG105 and top with Meg 26?

Buy DG501& DG601 instead of DG105. Better cleaning and IMO better durability

Re: Plan A or B?
You want ultimate protection on the white paint?
Dg501/601 mixed 4:1
then
Dg105/601 mixed 4:1
then top it off with wax of your choice,I prefer coli845
A great look and super protection!
