Headed to the beach for a week.. Wax or sealant?

    It's vacation time again!
Headed down to the coast for 8 days and they are predicting 5-10 mph winds (not bad) and it will be inevitable to get some sand on the car right... Does a wax hold sand more than a sealant?
Yesterday I hit it with Menz 85rd and PowerLock and the finish sick and slick :-) so im debating on topping it with Souveran, another coat of PowerLock or UPGP or Opti Seal for added slickness to prevent sand from accumulating

    Thx fellas for the feedback

Throw some Souveran on top and enjoy your vacation...

That would be a cool review to write up ... But I don't want to be that guy with what would like a half waxed car! LOL
my luck one side will deflect it all and the other will hold it!
I will do it to the hood and whichever side SOV or PL is the slickest I will go that route as I think "slickness" will prevent it from accumulating

Souveran on top ftw. Best of both worlds.

A coat of Souveran should be perfect. Just watch where you park and find a shielded area if possible.

I suggest adding nothing to the Powerlock. You will significantly degrade the slickness of it if you add Souveran.

The Souveran IME will hold onto and attract dust.

Optimum Instant Detailer is slicker than most sealants and wax's and is designed with anti-static agents. If you want insane slickness, just add this on top. The slickness lasts for about 3 weeks if the car doesnt get wet.

    IMO

I would have to agree and also add to the fact that you will see no real difference in the looks buy adding souveran.

I'm kinda feeling you on this one as my 50/50 on the hood this morning left a double coat of PL fffaaarrrr slicker than SOV
as for looks the SOV looks wetter and deeper while the PL looks glossy and super slicker ... Not sure how to really explain it but as far as I'm concerned slicker is better for this use

Thanks fellas for the input 2x PL FTW!
