I'll end up trying it eventually but it still scares me because it seems as if I'm just taking a dirty MF and rubbing the paint.
Search for posts on a grout sponge. My new favorite to pair with ONR. I consider them disposible at three bucks a pop.

I really feel that both have their places, I prefer to use ONR but if the car is muddy you have to traditionally wash it in my opinion.

    Re: ONR versus Shampoo

The biggest gripes I hear are mud and wheels. Rinse the mud off then ONR, no big deal. For the wheels, I use wheel bright 4:1 shot through a Wagner Control Spray onto a Laitner power brush as it's spinning on my drill. It foams up really well and I hit the barrels with a RG XL and RG Swissvax knockoff for the details. Then I just ONR to rinse the foam. There is no more mess than if I ONR'd alone and the wheels are clean. I do pull out the power washer for some clients cars that are severely neglected, but ONR is all that's needed 98% of the time for me.
