Help Needed with EZ Auto Detailing Brush

Need some help using the brush. I like the long reach for inside the rim spokes but every time I pull out the brush, it flicks brake dust all over. Works a little better immersed with car soap but the flicking drives me crazy and covers me in wet brake dust spots.

Wondering if there's a simple technique to use? I even tried directing water from a hose at it to minimize the flicking. Again, I like the brush and concept but not the after effects.

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

oh i don't mind getting grimy...in the summer its one big sweatfest especially when detailing/polishing in the garage--even with fans going.

the brake dust splatter is merely annoying. really don't need the brush unless i'm trying to get way back in the rims.
