How long does a Graphene coating stay slick?
I just used Artdeshine Graphene BX on my winter wheels and Yowza (bad pun) is the stuff slick.
I used the Graphene maintenance coating over, jelled in syringe, Gloss Coat after a day on my daughters wheels.
Was going to use it on my brothers Denali which has a terrible A.R.E. tonneau cover that holds water. After the reviews I decided to use UK3 and Gliss.
Just curious how long the stuff stays slick. Hopefully it helps keep the winter crud from sticking and taking roots.

This product is so new its anyones guess. I beta tested a product that is due out this Thursday and available here on AG 11/1/20 and I feel everyone is really going to like it! I have a coat on a daily driver for someone who's a repeat customer and she's been raving about it. big time
This reminds me, I need an update as it's been 6-7 weeks already

I have used Ethos Graphene Matrix and liked it a lot.
It was pretty slick. Ceramics are pretty grabby when bare.
I found Ethos to bead or sheet water no better than Cquartz Uk 3.0.
I myself do not see Graphene being a advantage over Ceramics at this point UNLESS you get longer protection which would be a plus imo for daily drivers in the winter states but don't see it shedding winter contamination off any better than ceramics

About 6 months on its own. That’s based on me using SPS. It needs a topper to keep it going.
Budget put it through a harsh winter and I’m sure he will chime in.
SPS has been meh for me. I’ll be polishing it off soon.

I did the same with Ethos. I did like it and it was a good coating but think ceramics still perform better. Performed similar to Cquartz but definitely not better.
I went full circle this summer on my Trans Am lol....
Had Cquartz on it, stripped that for Kamikaze Zipang, stripped that for Ethos, stripped that to go back to Cquartz.
Probably would have went back to Kamikaze Zipang if it was not so expensive. Amazing coating.

Thanks Mike.
I was hoping you and Budget would sound off. Your real world assessments led me to use it on my wheels.
I will use the remainder on my sons 05 Acura TL, curious to see how it handles Wisco winters.
I was going use UK3 but decided not to crack the bottle open.

The SPS Graphene I used on my daily driver (applied 05/2019) remained slick w/ moderate maintenance attention for about 3 months and then the slickness lessened a bit. I didn't begin maintaining it w/ their SPS Graphene Detailer until late December 2019, which would enhance the slickness after use. The SPS didn't seem to like being ignored over Winter though, probably went from late December 2019 thru April w little more than 1 or 2 trips thru the local touchless soap/rinse only tunnel wash. Come the Spring carpet-bombing decon wash (Gyeon Iron, Gyeon Tar, Polish Angel Ultrared) it just didn't 'come-back' as well as my preferred ceramics. I removed it in August 2020 as it just wasn't the same after Winter. A good coating overall, was great from May thru November but after that not such a nice fit for my needs.
One thing I always did notice about the graphene from the start was it would always take a bit more pressure on the wash mitt (but not a lot, just a bit 'more' than l was used to w/ ceramics) to remove anything like a somewhat stubborn spot/stain/whatever on the surface. As it sits now, with my experience and what I've read since the recent graphene 'influx' I personally thing the main thing graphene does in a coating is the word 'graphene' taking up space on the label; the technology just isn't there to make a real difference in a functional sense. YMMV.

Re: How long does a Graphene coating stay slick?
Thank you all.
I did notice the BX (consumer style) is a helluva more slick than the maintenance coating.
At this point, whats done is done and wish I could say money well spent.
It has to be better than a sealant which for me holds some merit

It depends on what you use to wash it. Various soaps leave various degrees of slickness or might strip slickness.
