Most aggressive product/technique for aftermarket painted wheels?

I need to clean some filthy Sparco Terra wheels that are painted white. They are completely caked with an entire winter's worth of mud and road grime.

I'm assuming I can't use an aggressive wheel cleaner? What about my usual daytona wheel brushes? Nay? What's a good process to use?

Re: Most aggressive product/technique for aftermarket painted wheels?

I would think those wheels would have a pretty durable finish on them and could probably get away with using most wheel cleaners if you use them safely.

Acid wheel cleaners will work quick but you must use caution. Don't let it dwell long and don't let it dry on the surface. Protect yourself too.

I rarely use acid wheel cleaners, and would probably just go at them with a strong APC or a good non acid wheel cleaner first, then work on it with IronX or one of the color changing wheel cleaners.

I like using IronX Snow Soap straight because it sticks like a gel and doesn't dry out to quick.

Here's a link to a thread with some bad wheels that were cleaned up through similar methods.
