Looking for a new sealant
Hi guys. Looking for some advice.
I have been using Wolfgang sealant for a few years ow. I also top it with fuzion wax afterwards. I am pretty pleased with the results. In the summer I have no issues with any dirt getting embedded that can't come out with little effort greater than subs and water during washing. My problems come with winter. If I go more than 2 weeks without washing, but I do powerwash on the way home every single time it snows or the roads get wet so nothing dries on the trucks. I only use water, I have a harder time cleaning and have to go to some clay or nano mit care.
So I have been thinking about trying something new.
I was looking for:
A. input on maybe what I'm doing wrong?
B. I'm thinking about trying something new. I was looking at: 1. carpro cquartz 2. carpro hydro2 but didn't know the real diff? does one hold up better than the other? 2. is there something else I should be looking at?
Any input would be great.
Thanks alot,
jim

Step into 2017 and try a coating. I am sure you will like it when you wash your car and nothing sticks to it for over a year.

A coating my help but...

You could try topping it with a spray "wax" after each wash, that may help.
Or,
You could try Finsh Kare High Temp wax or one of the Collinites for your winter wax. Others have said they hold up well.

I'm still weighing whether a coating is what I need for winter care based on my experiences this winter, but I can tell you Collinite 845 holds up very well through the winter and is very easy to clean.

Perhaps try: not "topping" the Wolfgang
Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, with the Füzion
Wax, during the Winter months?

Re: Looking for a new sealant
There are some that will chive in who know a lot more than me, but for what it's worth, in my novice opinion you sound like a candidate for a coating. Since I found AG in 2015, shorty after I was using the same combo as you. WGDGPS, topped with Fuzion, a killer combo. That lasted me through last winter. In July 2016 I put Wolfgang coating on. At first I swore off coatings ever again. Just because of all the prep work, and second guessing myself since it was the first time. I am sold now. The look is amazing, but when it comes to cleaning, that's when I fell in love with it. Comes cleaner much easier.

Re: Looking for a new sealant
Ok I got all kinda questions now.
The 2017 comment is that cause I'm using sealant still or is the pro care costing even old compared to what I are talking about?
So applying the layer of wax on top of the sealant can cause issues? I always thought it was recommended to help?
So you all don't think he carpro will do any better than the sealant I'm using now?
Winter sucks! I will say the daily wash off helps a lot! But only if I wash it at least every other week. Go longer and I'm screwed

One of my favorites. It lasts and lasts. Even longer if applied with DG601. And the gloss is hard to beat.
