Gotta agree with Harleyguy, they seem fairly expensive. Home Depot and Lowes both should have some things similar at better prices. But the T8's are great for flourescent lighting.
They carry a lighting system just like this at Menards. They seem very expensive compared to other lighting panels. But I must admit they look very cool.
Those look great. If you have the current builders grade lights in your garage (2x60w incandescent bulbs) it will be a huge improvement. Last year I replaced my incandescent light sockets with 3 dual 48" T8 fixtures. the difference was incredible. The type of difference that made me wonder why I waited so long.
I got everything from HD and the cost was less but I'm not going to tell you how to spend your money. You should always consider how much you will be doing vs having done. If your not confident in your wiring ability there would only be one hard wire connection to have an electrician make with this system the rest would be easy plug and play connections. I can see the market for systems like these and how attractive they are to people that aren't necessary DIYer's with regard to electrical wiring.
Looks like a quality setup and probably worth every penny.
Even if you want to improve on incandescent bulb fixtures, just replace them with CFL's. You can get higher output versions and run them safely plus once they warm up completely they can get extremely bright.
