+1. While the gloss is a bit "unnatural," CQUK still gives the best appearance on a dark-colored car. Dark colored cars benefit from a light polishing every 1-2 years anyway, so the 18-24 mo durability from UK is very practical.

I have a Black 2013 Mustang GT and I use for a sealant the Pinnacle Black Label. I also like the Blackfire Paint sealant too. You cannot go wrong with either. Real easy to apply and come off. I use a DA machine for the sealant. I final step is an excellent carnauba wax as the top off. There are several awesome brands of wax but I like Bouncer's Capture the Rature or Dodo Juice Supernatural wax.

I am going to applying CQUK to both of our personal vehicles here in the next month or two, and will also be offering it to my clients once the season gets rolling.

As Kevin said... my Lexus has 22ple VX1 Pro on it. I will be polishing the car and removing the coating this summer to apply something else (CQ Finest or OC Pro). 22ple VX1 Pro has been good, though CQUK offers the same levels of gloss and durability at a more affordable price.

    Re: Paint coating. Which one???

I can only comment on the coatings that I have used: Opti-Coat 2.0 and GTechniq C1, EXO, and EXOv2.

The look is better with the GTechniq offerings. The slickness of EXO and EXOv2 cannot be beat. That being said, Opti-Coat has better durability, but as has been already said, that point is somewhat moot since most of us re-polish our vehicles (due to inevitable swirls and scratches) every 2 or so years.

CQuartz has always been a popular choice, so their offerings should be compared, too. I would choose GTechniq or CarPro CQuartz over Opti-Coat, mainly because the look of the coating is superior. Regardless of what you choose, the prep is the most important part. If there are swirls under the coating, it won't look good regardless of the product. If you're not going to go with perfect prep, a glaze topped with a sealant and/or wax would be your best bet. Good luck and happy detailing!
