    Smart Car Detailing

    Any experts:

Been in business for 3 years now, and surprisingly have never done a little Smart Car. Booked one for tomorrow. From what I understand, they are pure plastic. Any suggestions or cautions would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Re: Smart Car Detailing

I had one for three months, and I remember from my pre-purchase research that some colors are just the plastic colored panels, and some are powder-coated, (before someone gives me grief, it's a different kind of powder-coating than what we normally think of).

Mine was black and was just the plastic with no coating. I tried to find which colors are "paint" and which are not, but haven't had any luck yet. I think the red and white are just plastic too, but am not sure yet. I'll keep searching and see what I can find.

I put different products on as a trial but didn't see any significant improvement in gloss, but after all it was brand new.

I don't have any experience with them, but it might help if you tell those that do what kind of service will you be doing, full correction? Wash and wax?

At least it should not take you long and no much product should be needed... (Tinny death trap)

From the ones that I have seen on the road, just pick it up and toss it in the washer. Remember to not use fabric softener though.

    Re: Smart Car Detailing

I did one of these bad boys not too long ago.

    Smart Car

There is alot of black plastic trim on it and if you look in my pics UTTG works great. i dont know if you have any of that stuff but it worked well for me.

Other than that I didnt notice anything different than any other car.

Oh and if you have a jack and torque wrench its pretty quick and easy to just remove the rims and clean them.
