Very nice! In HT or Hybrid at 7/8" thick would make it perfect!
IMO, the 4 3/8" backing plate for the 3401 is too small for a 5.5" pad.

I don't need that much protection around the edge, 4.5 pads will be awesome.

I'll take a bit of a credit for giving an early idea to produce 4.5" pads, if you don't mind.

When can we expect them to be available?!?

Just to be sure... That is the native 4-3/8 backing plate. Yes?

When and how much for a set of 6 pads?

    Thanks,

    Dan.

You don't need thin pads for a forced rotation pad and these are thicker and measure in at 1 1/4"

I'm all for giving credit where credit is due but I'm pretty sure Eric has had these in the works for a while now...

You definitely pushed the issue as your posting history shows.

The backing plate you see in the pictures above are the 4" backing plate from Lake country and the Velcro on the back of the 5" pads is exactly 4" which makes them very easy to align.

Also, The pads are actually 5" in diameter. I have a bunch of different sizes but the 5" diameter pads are going to be final production. That' what you see Justin using in the pictures above and that's what they guys buffing out the 1932 Ford full Fendered Coupe will be using at my Detailing Boot Camp Class this weekend.

Not sure when they'll be available yet... soon...

Just like some gentlemen predicted.... everyone said they're not gonna make 4.5" pads but they did. Nice.

Re: New 5 inch pads for the 4" Backing Plate on Flex 3401

Hmmm... They still have not made 4.5" pads. Those are 5" pads.

My biggest concern is the $50 backing plate kit required to use them. And that kit uses adapters (not native backing plates) and comes with a 6" backing plate which is useless for my needs.

If there was a native, 4" backing plate, I'd buy the pads even though they are 5" (not 4.5").

They are 5" pads with 4" loop. Will work on any machine.
