Re: Plastip Silverado project. First full vehicle dip
Nice work and results! It looks great, drip aside, it's not that bad!
Glad the armor went well except for a little learning curve. (you may have saved me on my next dip project!)
Thanks for posting, still sub'd!

That’s a healthy project. So cool you got to share it with your dad. Also very curious to hear how it responds to sanding.

Plastip Silverado project. First full vehicle dip
Yeh i dont think it will respond well to sanding. Even with a clear its still a rubberized coating it probably wont turn out like you think. Its not ment to be a permanent solution so I would prob just leave it unless you have product to redo those panels if need be. And it turned out amazing. Nice work i love it. Only thing i would do if it were mine is different tail lights. Those things stand out a bunch on that blue now. Ive always had tinted tails so im a little biased

They wetsand plastidip without the clear as well They have tutorials on how to fix it. I will try. I have extra product If I redo the doors I may pull them off the truck to sprsy the clear with them horizontal (if I redo them at all)

The dip armor is pretty similar to clear coat. They even have ceramics that work with it as well. It isn't a rubber coating at all (the lower layers are)
Way more photos from the tripod coming!!
